Nyande (NEE-YA-N-DEE)

Nyande comes from the culture of my mom's roots in West Africa from the all women society of the Sande. Nyande: "beautiful, good, kind, nice"  to be both beautiful and good. It means beauty beyond the exterior, beauty from the inside out. Women in the Sande society are expected to be beautiful, graceful, delicate, curvaceous, pretty, clean, fresh, perfumed, groomed and adorned. More importantly they are expected to be good, kind, sweet, patient, gentle, modest, loving, helpful, cheerful, and understanding.(Boone 1986, pp.129-138). This embodies the meaning of Nyande, it is to have balance in the outer and inner beauty...if you are not nice on the inside you are not Nyande even if you have physical beauty. 

Hale Nyande means good medicine, medicine that causes no harm or side effects while it heals. This is where my products come in with all natural, simple, effective ingredients made with love. They are sure to make you radiate from the inside out. The concept is to make a beautiful product that contains great ingredients, it's to create something Nyande!
Nyande is also the name of my first born son! I chose this name for him to give him balance and connect him to his roots. I named him king Nyande because I wanted him to have the attributes  and appreciate beauty in character and the heart not only in the physical.   Also because he reminds me everyday of what true beauty really is. As I became a mother I evolved a great deal and he helped me get there. By buying Nyande products you are supporting a mother to be independent and you are bringing me closer to reunite me with my son!
